Grigory Yavlinsky ›
Grigory Yavlinsky is a Professor of Economics at the State University – Higher School of Economics in Moscow, and Chairman of the Board of the Centre for Economic and Political Research. Mr. Yavlinsky was Co-Founder and former Chairman of the Russian Democratic Party Yabloko (1993–2008). In 1996 and 2000, he ran as Yabloko’s official candidate for the Russian presidency. Mr. Yavlinsky also served as a Member of the Russian State Duma (1993–2003) and since the mid-1990s, he has focused his efforts on tax and budget reforms.
