Currently teaches Institutions, Founding Treaties of the European Union and Theories of European Integration in the Department of European Union Relations in University of Bahçesehir,, Istanbul. She holds a BA in Political Science and International Relations from Bogaziçi University in Istanbul, a MA in European Studies from University of Exeter and a PhD in Political Science from the Department of Government of University of Essex in the UK. Her research interests focus on new security threats, such as energy security and illegal migration and EU external policy, specifically European Neighbourhood Policy, Eastern Partnership Initiative and European Security and Defence Policy.
